WE WERE MET TODAY BY OUR LOVING FATHER

WE WERE MET TODAY BY OUR LOVING FATHER
We have been thinking for a long while now that we were going to have to change churches. We didn't really want to, but due to gas being what it is, and the number of miles to 'our church', we just haven't been going as much as we want to attend God's house! We have had the feeling as of late (after many prayers and many hours of thinking, talking and again praying about it) that we were going to try this one country church that is so much closer to us (perhaps 2 miles), and it would be much quicker getting there, so hopefully we could get back into attending on Sunday morning and Sunday and Wednesday nights. That is what we used to do at the other church, but just find many difficulties in doing so now.
Today, we went both in the morning and the evening. Well, honestly this morning I had some butterflies when we got there. But an older gentleman met us at the door, and reached out and hugged me (that helped). Everyone was friendly and loving (and that too is what we were used to) so I was feeling better about being there. When we got to the seats we chose, we sat down, I said a little silent prayer that God would show us His will for us (to be there or not)...
They started out with a prayer and then shortly started singing... when we got to the one song, I seemed to feel God's presence and approval for us being there.. It was SHOUT TO THE LORD! And we felt comfortable enough to sing out! You know what the Bible says "make a joyful noise" and I feel like it is wonderful to His ears to hear us worship and praise Him (even if the one beside us might be rolling his or her eyes ) And He is the one it is for : ] ha.
For me the problem seemed to be in leaving our other church. The pastors there were all wonderful and all preached God's word as true as true can be. The singing and the worship, and praise were all heart felt and warm and upbeat. The friend and fellowship, very special... and we hate leaving them. They are our family also! But then it dawned on me that we are all His children, so we are all family.. no matter where we go, as long as it is in His will for us. And that you don't have to be with family weekly, to be a family or remain a family because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. And that is what He wants for us.
So please pray for Christians, no matter where they attend, or where they are lead to move to. We are all God's children and He loves us all equally. Also, please pray for the children everywhere.. there is so much child abuse (of all types). And pray for the Haitian people, for their safety and well being, and that they will all be drawn closer to God.

SHOUT TO THE LORD

My Jesus, my Savior,
Lord, there is none like You
All of my days, I want to praise,
The wonders of your mighty love

My comfort, my shelter,
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Chorus Shout to the Lord, all the earth let us sing,
Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar,
At the sound of your name

I sing for joy at the work of your hands
Forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

THANK YOU GOD, FOR MEETING US THERE!
