I MISS THE SUMMER DAYS, WHEN OCCASIONALLY A HUMMING BIRD WOULD COME BUZZING BY
No, I never had them to sit on my hand, but I have had them a few times to completely circle around me. We have had them to fly unbelievably close to us, as if to check us out or just say hi, I'm here! And I have had them to fly right up to the window I was sitting near, I mean really close! That was an awesome feeling, and somehow I felt that it was a special little gift from God. We had quite a few humming birds around here last summer, and they would get really close to us. And even though the immediate reaction was to draw your head down into your neck (ha) we were really grateful for their presence. It would be AWESOME to have them tame enough to sit on your hand.. but then, I am grateful to have had so many around! And hopefully they enjoyed the feeders that we kept going for them all summer and fall. What a blessing!Another blessing for today was that the weather was a good bit warmer, THANKFULLY. And the wind wasn't so strong.. a rather nice day, and for that I am grateful. We are supposed to have a few nice days now, hopefully it will melt all this snow, and that the snows are over for this winter. Then we'll just have to deal with the mud again, but at least it's not 'so cold'. I am really looking forward to warmer weather and hearing the birds singing again, gee, I have really missed them! Of all things.. so many times I have just really MISSED them singing.
Then a special blessing for one of our son's and their family. Our youngest son and his family got a really nice RV... it should last them for many years because I know they will take care of it. They love camping, and it's something really good for a family to do and just spending time together is good, and adds to the closeness of a family! It makes so many wonderful memories for when the kids are older. and then passes the love of spending time together to their family's and on down the line. We always took our kids camping and usually their grandparents went to, so it was really a family event. We are grateful for them, our parents, and all the wonderful memories we shared in camping, going places together, and for just the time we spent together.
CONGRATULATIONS NORMAN AND LEISA! They are really a loving couple, and we are grateful for both of them, and of course their children (three of our loving grandchildren).
Another blessing for today... IT'S FRIDAY! THANK YOU GOD!!! I am still praying for my job to turn into a full time job, but today was one of those day's... in fact this whole week has been.. Part of the equipment at work isn't working now (it's brand new, but broken : { .. thankfully it's not mine to have to pay to have fixed!) but none the less, it is something that the two part time people have to deal with daily... and it being broken just makes our day even harder... So, it is a blessing to have the weekend off to recuperate. It could have been better if it had been payday. I miss those past jobs (of years ago) when we got paid weekly... ha, now I just get paid WEAKLY, once a month. But, I AM GRATEFUL FOR MY JOB, ONLY WISH IT WAS FULL TIME, WITH BENEFITS... PRAY FOR ME PLEASE.. (AND THANK YOU MY FRIENDS!)

Thankfully, we saw my Mom today, and she was looking really good for a change. Her lips are so cracked and sore, but she looked really good! She's been really sick off and on for a few years now, and not getting any younger either. She has been blessed so far with 81 years of rather healthy life, and we are all grateful for her and her health. THANK YOU GOD! Another blessing was Wednesday night when Norman was talking to his Mother, (she's 83) and she told him that she's wanting to start going to church with us on Sundays... Amen! And I know she'll be more than welcome. She has been staying in a lot during all this nasty ole snow and cold, windy weather (she gets pneumonia or bronchitis so easily, and she has had a hip replacement due to a fall ) so it's good that she's been staying in.. But it's nice that she's wanting to be back in church, she has always went to church and is a good christian lady (my mom too). Thanks again God! I will close this out tonight with a prayer and one of my favorite scripture verses...
Matthew 18:20For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Amen, I love that scripture! Anyway...
Father, we come to you tonight to thank You sincerely for Your wonderful Son Jesus, and for all the sacrifice that was made in our behalf, how amazing that You would make sure that we would be able to be saved by sacrificing Your own perfect Son! We ask that You will lay heavy on the hearts of our country's leaders and draw them and the people back to You, and that You will once again bless our country. Father, please be with, comfort, protect, and grant peace to all the soldiers that are on foreign soil, also grant peace to their families. Be with the sick, the diseased, and the children.. protect, bless and help each of them. Father thank You for our family's, our extended family's, our church family, our friends and neighbors, and my co-workers, bless each of us spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, and physically, and draw each of us closer to You and help us to live pleasingly to You and in Your will for our lives. In Jesus loving name we pray, giving You all the honor, praise and glory in all things, amen.
