Memories of THE LITTLE COWBOY

MEET 'NATE' OUR ONLY GRANDSON
This was taken when 'Nate' was probably 3 or 3 & 1/2 years old.
He is a handsome young man now 11 years old!!!
Actually his half sister is our second grandchild, but we hardly ever see her, so that puts him next (going by ages) Perhaps I should have done all the girls first, because he is such a gentleman, and so protective of his sister and cousins. A real darling of a 'little man', and so kind, and tender hearted. The next one will be "A", she is about 6 weeks younger than he is.
He plays the snare drum, the bass drum, the xylophone and the bells in his school band. When we went for his Christmas concert, we were shocked. I told his dad, "I didn't know that he played all of those" and his loving Dad replied "I didn't either, he didn't tell us!" It was rather interesting to see the kids on the back row of the band, keep switching places. Amazing really, something we had not even thought of.
He also plays basketball, and has for a number of years. He's a real cute fella when he has on his basketball clothes. But then, he's really cute anyway! I have a picture of him clowning around, doing an Earkle impression, boy, you can't look at it without laughing. He, like his younger sister loves reading, camping, sleep-overs, their new DSI's (they got for Christmas), playing on the computer, and on the PS3, (also their Wii) . They like playing outside (up here in the country) and running with Homer, or "The Homer" as they call him. They also call him "Homer the Country Dog" He also has a special closeness to his friends at school, and his Uncle Jeff, but he loves his Mommy and thinks his Dad is his hero. He is good on the computer, and now day's that is good. Who knows what part computers will play in the future.
I call him my "favorite grandson", and he'll laugh and say he's my only grandson! That is why I can call him my favorite grandson! I have four granddaughters, so I can't call any of the my favorite, and I have no favorite I LOVE THEM ALL, (HIM AND THE GIRLS) THE SAME.
They are all precious to me. So far he enjoys spending time with us, and sleeping over at our house... I am grateful, time goes by so quickly and one day he'll feel like he is to old to spend time with us Ole Fogies, (but I can't imagine him actually saying it to us) , so we'll enjoy it while we can. We love you 'Nate', God Bless you!
You Are My King (Amazing Love)
I'm forgiven, because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well, Your Spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be
That You my king would die for me?
Amazing love, I know it's true
And It's my joy to honor You
In all I do I honor You.
You are my king, You are my king
Jesus, You are my king, Jesus, You are my king
