ANOTHER DAY... BITTERSWEET

IN HONOR OF SHIRLEY SPARKS,
YOU WILL BE MISSED!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
today was her funeral, please pray for all of her
family.. many have to travel home (so for their safety, and comfort)
and the ones that remain here, for their comfort (all so used to being
with and seeing her daily) GOD BLESS & COMFORT PLEASE.
It was really sweet seeing all of the girls and their families..
They rarely come to Covington... so it was SWEET!
BUT, the reason they had to come, was really SAD...
The best part of all of this is that we all know that
Shirley is in Heaven now, with Jesus and God!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pray also for my Mother, Betty Sparks,
she goes back to the hospital tomorrow for more testing...
Her breast cancer (they didn't find so they told her
it must have died) but now they are looking elsewhere..
such as bone cancer (to mention one) And she still has cancer
in the fluid in her lung... SO PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS...
BLESS HER HEART, she had to go on oxygen at the
funeral home today... and tried so hard not to show her need for it
so as to not take any of the attention from the reason we were there.
And she still has a LOT of fluid on her left lung (last time they took it
it looked like diarrhea ; ( So, she still is really ILL!
Even though she tried to just say the first part (in the yellow)
of her last exam, and was feeling extremely good about it!
Guess the truth is much harder to face.. (for us as well)
The only good part is that she is a christian lady!
So, PLEASE KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS.
The Full Original Copy of the Serenity
Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)
God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is
,Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right
,If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
