SAD NEWS, THE DOCTORS AT THE UVA

TOLD MY BROTHER (AND THEIR FAMILY TODAY)

THAT SHIRLEY'S HEART HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED

AND THAT THE "LIFE SUPPORT" IS THE "ONLY THING

THAT IS WORKING" THEY SUGGESTED THAT THEY UNPLUG

IT TODAY, BUT MY BROTHER ASK IF THEY COULD WAIT UNTIL

TOMORROW SO THE REST OF THEIR KIDS COULD MAKE

IT THERE TO SEE HER ONE LAST TIME BEFORE THEY UNPLUG

HER. (THEY ARE COMING FROM FLORIDA)

THANKFULLY SHIRLEY IS A CHRISTIAN, BUT SADLY LEAVES

BEHIND TWO REALLY YOUNG 'DAUGHTERS' AND A GRANDSON

THAT ALL LIVES IN THE HOME WITH THEM.

WE WERE BOTH SLEEPING LIKE BABIES,

SOMETIME EARLY THIS MORNING...

SOMETHING WOKE US BOTH UP!

WE LAID THERE LISTENING, BUT NOTHING ELSE

HAPPENED, SAID ANOTHER SHORT PRAYER AND
SNUGGLED BACK UP AND WENT BACK
TO SLEEP! WE NEVER DID FIGURE OUT WHAT

HAD HAPPENED! GO FIGURE?

BUT SOMETHING DID, ENOUGH THAT IT

IMMEDIATELY WOKE BOTH OF US UP.

THANKS GOD FOR WATCHING OVER US!
