AH, THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL..

Learning To Spell! My son, Mitchell, a kindergartner,
practices spelling with magnetic letters on the refrigerator:
cat, dog, dad, and mom have been proudly displayed for all to see.
One morning while getting ready for the day,
Mitchell bounded into the room with his arms outstretched.
In his hands were three magnetic letters:
"G"-"O"-"D" "Look what I spelled, Mom!"
Mitch exclaimed, a proud smile on his face."That's wonderful!"
I praised him. "Now go put them on the fridge so
Dad can see when he gets home tonight.
" That Catholic education is certainly having an impact,
I thought, happily.Just then, a little voice called from the kitchen.
"Mom? How do you spell 'zilla?'" (Godzilla)
10. A second grader came home from school and
said to her Grandmother, "Grandma, guess what?
We learned how to make babies today."
The grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool.
"That's interesting," she said, "how do you make babies?"
"It's simple," replied the girl. "You just change 'y' to 'i and add 'es'."
11. Children's Logic: "Give me a sentence about a public servant,"
said a teacher. The small boy wrote:"The fireman came down the
ladder pregnant." The teacher took the lad aside to correct him.
"Don't you know what pregnant means?" she asked."Sure,
" said the young boy confidently. 'It means carrying a child."
A little girl was diligently pounding away on her Grandfather's'
word processor. She told him she was writing a story.
"What's it about?" he asked. "I don't know," she replied..
"I can't read."
Hand Over His Heart!Johnny was at his first day of school.
The teacher advised the class to start the day with the pledge
of allegiance, and instructed them to put their right hands
over their hearts and repeat after him.He looked around the room
as he started the recitation, "I pledge allegiance to the flag..."
When his eyes fell on Johnny, he noticed Johnny's hand over the right
cheek of his bottom."Johnny, I will not continue till you put you hand
over your heart."Johnny replied, "It is over my heart."After several
attempts to get Johnny to put his hand over his heart, the teacher asked,
"Why do you think that is your heart?""Because every time my
Grandma comes to visit, she picks me up, pats me here, and says,
'Bless your little heart,' and my Grandma wouldn't lie!"

Thankfully Mom is feeling a lot better than she was yesterday,

she said she slept really good last night, and that HELPED!

But she was still "huffing and puffing" even though she was on

on oxygen when we were talking!

She goes this Friday @ 1:00 to UVA for a consultation

with a doctor there about "any" possibilities.. SHE'S HOPING!

GOD BLESS! WE OF COURSE WANT WHAT IS THE BEST FOR HER,

AND THE LEAST PAIN AND DISCOMFORT POSSIBLE.

YET, WE KNOW THAT GOD'S WILL

WILL BE DONE! AND WE LOVE HIM, AND SHE DOES TOO!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Today was the first day of school! Ah, those happy faces..

especially the fourth graders "beginning Jeter Watson

Middle School, and leaving the "little grade school behind" ; )

God bless and protect each of them please!
