JUST WANT TO THANK YOU GOD

When we got home from Salem this evening,
we stopped by Mom's to check on her.
She is feeling some better, but still really tired,
and still in need of her oxygen. Still really sore,
and still on LOTS of pain medications.
Jenna had made her a pot roast, complete with
carrots and potatoes.. Looked and smelled so good!
And when I got there, she said she would like some
good home made biscuits, so I made them for her.
I stayed and cleaned the kitchen back up.
(she seemed like it disappointed her a bit because
we didn't eat,) but we ate after his appointment at Ihops.
She said, "well, then you didn't have to make biscuits for
just us" ..... go figure, like I minded one bit.. : )
she is so cute!

When I made the biscuits, I had some dough left, and as always, I just rolled it all together to bake, .. she calls a ho cake.. And of all things, she was so happy about that, and that is what she was going to eat, instead of a biscuit, with butter and tomatoes, and of course her pot roast! (but like that bread was really special) But then, in a way I understand. Her Mom always made them instead of biscuits. And I hadn't even thought of it until now. (duh) I just thought how cute, and how very special and precious she is! Thank You God for this extra time with her. Help us all please to make the most of it!

Norman had stopped by Mom's earlier this morning, I had sent some flower slips down there for two of my sisters.. He said the nurse from Hospice was back in with Mom again this morning.. THANK YOU GOD! She even brought Mom some lunch : ) how sweet!

Now as for our trip, (to the VA Hospital)... THANK YOU GOD FOR SAFETY! And all went well, except that his eyes had deteriorated a good bit (that's not good) .. but he has stronger glasses coming. He said the medicine that they put in his eyes really burned them a good bit, and of course the light after that really made them hurt.. The good news is that his diabetes hasn't effected his eyes yet, and I hope it never does. But, we made it back fine.. He drove part of the way, and then I drove the rest of the way and then on home from Mom's. Breakfast for supper at Ihops was DELICIOUS! YUM AND THE COFFEE, REALLY HIT THE SPOT..

Have Faith In God
Have faith in God when your pathway is lonely.

He sees and knows all the way you have trod;

Never alone are the least of His children;

Have faith in God, have faith in God.

------------------------
Have faith in God when your prayers are unanswered,

Your earnest plea He will never forget;

Wait on the lord, trust His word and be patient,

Have faith in God. He'll answer yet.

---------------------------
Have faith in God in your pain and your sorrow,

His heart is touched with your grief and despair;

Cast all your cares and your burdens upon Him,

And leave them there, oh, leave them there.
-------------------------

Have faith in God though all else fall about you;

Have faith in God, He provides for His own:

He cannot fail though all kingdoms shall perish.

He rules. He reigns upon His throne.
-------------------------

Refrain:
Have faith in God, He's on His throne,

Have faith in God, He watches over His own;

He cannot fail, He must prevail,

Have faith in God, Have faith in God.

"Why are you cast down, O my soul?

And why are you disquieted within me?

Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him,

The help of my countenance and my God."Ps 42:11

GOD,

GRANT ME THE

SERENITY

TO ACCEPT THE THINGS

I CANNOT CHANGE.

COURAGE

TO CHANGE THE

THINGS I CAN. AND

WISDOM

TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE..

(ABOVE ALL, HELP ME TO HAVE FULL FAITH IN YOU)
