BRIGHT, COLORFUL, AND KEEPS THE SUN OUT (*.*)

IT'S SPRING!
The daffodils push up And stretch toward the sun
Winter ice thins and breaks As sleeping rivers again run
With the bumblebee's buzz Spider webs are soon spun
And the robins sing,"It's Spring!Now, it's Spring!"
The hue of the hills change From brown to emerald green
Flowers bloom bright reds, blues And varied colors in between
Filling field, yard and garden With endless scenes so serene
As the bluebirds sing,"It's Spring! Now, it's Spring!"
The slumbering earth comes alive You can't resist its pull
Throw off your warm blankets Your woven sweaters of wool
Breathe in the Spring tide'
Til your hearts brimming full
Then join in and sing,"It's Spring!
Now, it's Spring!"

Signs Of Spring
The signs of spring are everywhere; the air is soft and warm,
No longer will we hear the forecast of a winter storm.
The robins running on the ground and sensing with their feet,
The movement of the earthworms as they search for food to eat.
The days are getting longer and the sun seems big and bright,
And daylight savings time will make it seem a shorter night.
The birds start singing earlier each morning before dawn,
As if they also know by instinct winter now is gone.
Little buds upon the trees are poking out their heads,
Tiny stalks are popping up out in the flowerbeds.
Treetops that were barren when the winter winds would blow,
Now are filled with baby squirrels just running to and fro.
The morning paper that was filled with winter sort of ads,
Now is filled with grills and lawn mowers calling out to dads.
Garden center parking lots for months were cold and dark,
Now you must shop early if you want a place to park.
So many signs that spring is coming and is finally here,
The weather now is warming up at this time of year.
Of all the signs that spring is here that leave me with no doubt,
The orange construction barrels spring up and traffic cops are out.

(nose running, jaw's hurting (*.*) guess that is what all the sneezing was about)
WE ARE THANKFUL FOR OUR OLE DOUBLE RECLINER

SO WE CAN CUDDLE UP TOGETHER,

AND GET SOME MUCH NEEDED REST!
