WE WERE ON THE RUN ON SATURDAY.. FIRST WE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL TO SEE NORMAN'S MOM.. SHE IS IN THE ICU THERE. SHE HAS PNEUMONIA AND THEY ARE CHECKING FOR CONGESTIVE HEART PROBLEMS.. SHE IS RETAINING FLUID, (FACE, HANDS, ARMS .... )
SO KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS PLEASE!
Then we went on to Krogers to gather everything for a picnic at Douthat.. We were going there to check on a site for this coming weekend.. but NONE were available.. and the only one at Buckhorns wasn't big enough.. So.... "oh to have a place to rent that we could use as a campsite!" Big enough for 18 or 20 people at times (for a picnic) and maybe up to 12 to sleep.. Those were the days! .... We knew then how lucky we were to find a lot, but the owner passed away.. and so did our chances (they no longer rent the site).. Jenna and her three (doggy) children went with us, so it was her and her three.. Norman, Leisa, with their two, and Johnny.. (a child she babysits with) and us. We were also looking for a site for August, when we could all go for an extended weekend.. And maybe I'll know once I call to try to reserve some sites together.. The place we went to was Whispering Pines (a new section of Douthat) it has rather nice large sites, and lots of room for the kids to ride their bikes. So, it will be nice. Only draw back is that Jenna's granddaughter will be back in school by the time we go. Where she lives, they start school the week before we do. I know Jenna wish she could be there also. But, maybe next time. After we looked, we just went on to Douthat and had our picnic. Then stopped back by Buckhorns for ice cream when we were on our way home..What can I say, if nothing else, we got to enjoy each others company!..
