LEAVES

Leaves on trees and in The Book,

Both are worth a second look.

Leaves that grow upon the trees,

Murmur softly in the breeze.

Listen closely, you will hear

Creation’s message in your ear.

If you decide to take a look

At the “leaves” of the Good Book,

You will read about the way

Creation took just six short days.

Hold a leaf within your hand;

See God’s being in each strand.

The nature of this simple thing,

Can only one conclusion bring—

That accident could not have made

The complexity of leaves that shade.

Divine intelligence is clear to see

In the leaf design of every tree;

And as each year, new leaves spring out,

God exists without a doubt;

And I believe that God’s full plan Includes provision for trees and men; That just as leaves re-bud each year We are reborn when life ends here.   Betty Killebrew

NORMAN MET ME IN TOWN TODAY WHEN I GOT OFF FROM WORK.. WE HAD A LITTLE RUNNING TO DO.. AND WE BOUGHT SOME FALL LEAVES WITH PUMPKINS AND GOURDS A LOT LIKE THE ONE ON THIS WREATH AND WRAPPED THEM AROUND THE FOUR POST OF OUR CARPORT.. "BRIGHT" AND SEASONAL LOOKING, SIMPLE, YET VERY PRETTY WE THOUGHT.. WE ALSO GOT A MOTION DOUBLE LIGHT FOR OUR FRONT.. ONE LIGHT WILL SHINE ON THE CARPORT, AND THE OTHER WILL SHINE ON THE FRONT STEPS (AND WITH IT AUTOMATICALLY COMING ON, IT WILL BE VERY HANDY) OR WE SURELY HOPE SO! AND I BOUGHT ANOTHER PUMPKIN FOR MY LIVING ROOM.. NOT A JACK O LANTERN.. JUST A PRETTY PUMPKIN (ARTIFICAL OF COURSE) so I don't have to worry about it spoiling.. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, WE'LL LEAVE THESE UP UNTIL TIME TO DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS.. I SUPPOSE FRIDAY EVENING (TIME PERMITTING) I WILL TRY TO GET UP SOME HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS AT SCHOOL ... THEN I WILL GO BACK TO THE PLAIN PUMPKIN, AUTUMN LEAVES, AND SCARECROWS THAT I HAVE UP NOW TO HAVE RIGHT UP UNTIL WE DECORATE FOR CHRISTMAS..

THEN IT WAS RIGHT BACK TO THE CHICKENS, PIGEONS, BANTAMS AND GUINEAS.. THEY KEEP US BUSY, AND THEY KEEP A SMILE ON OUR FACES (*.*) (*.*) THEN WE CAME IN FOR SOME SUPPER AND LAPS FULL OF CATS AND A SWEET, GENTLE, WONDERFUL, LOVING HOMERJOE!

September gave a party;

The leaves by hundreds came -

The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,

And leaves of every name.

The Sunshine spread a carpet,

And everything was grand,

Miss Weather led the dancing,

Professor Wind the band.

PRAYING FOR OUR COUNTRY THAT GOD WILL BLESS AND GUIDE OUR LEADERS TO DO WHAT HE KNOWS IS BEST AND RIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY.. PRAYING FOR OUR SOLDIERS, THAT THEY WILL ALL SOON BE BACK HOME SAFELY WITH JOBS TO COME HOME TO AND FOR COMFORT AND INNER PEACE FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES... PRAYING FOR NORMAN, THAT HE WILL SOON GET FEELING BETTER AND THINGS WILL WORK OUT FOR HIM EVEN BETTER THAN HE'S HOPING FOR..
