The Girl With Four Boyfriends   - Author Unknown

Once upon a time there was a girl who had four boyfriends. She loved the first boyfriend the most and adorned him with rich robes and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the best.

She also loved the second boyfriend very much and was always showing him off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would leave her for another. She also loved her third boyfriend. He was her confident and was always kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever this girl faced a problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through the difficult times. The girl's fourth boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not love the fourth boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took notice of him! One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of her luxurious life and wondered, 'I now have four boyfriends with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone.' Thus, she asked the first boyfriend, 'I loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?' 'No way!', replied the first boyfriend, and he walked away without another word. His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart. The sad girl then asked the second boyfriend, 'I loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?' 'No!', replied the second boyfriend. 'Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to marry someone else!' Her heart sank and turned cold. She then asked the third boyfriend, 'I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?' 'I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!', replied the third boyfriend.. 'At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.' His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was devastated. Then a voice called out: 'I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go.' The girl looked up, and there was her fourth boyfriend. He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the girl said, 'I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!'

                  Dear Grandson:

I have become a little older since I saw you last, and a few changes have come into my life since then. Frankly, I have become a frivolous old gal. I am seeing five gentlemen everyday. As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me get out of bed. Then I go to see John. Then Charlie Horse comes along, and when he is here he takes a lot of my time and attention.

When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint. After such a busy day, I'm really tired and glad to go to bed with Ben Gay. What a life. Oh yes, I'm also flirting with Al Zymer.   Love, Grandma

P.S. The preacher came to call the other day. He said at my age I should be thinking of the hereafter. I told him, "Oh I do it all the time. No matter where I am, in the parlor, upstairs, in the kitchen, or down in the basement, I ask myself, "Now, what am I here after?"

I MET MY "HUNNY" (I ONLY HAVE ONE, but then four others.. 3 sons and 1 grandson).. ANYWAY, I MET MY HONEY AFTER WORK TODAY.. WE BOUGHT A LITTLE SHOWER SHELF, AND A FEW MORE NEEDED SUPPLIES TO GET IT ALL SET AND THE SHELVES BUILT.. ALSO WE GOT SOME GROCERIES AND LOOKED AT SOME "FROGGY" MATERIAL THAT I NEED TO USE TO MAKE ABIGAIL A BEDSPREAD FOR HER LITTLE ROOM..  WE ALSO BOUGHT A LANTERN TO TURN INTO A LIGHT FOR OUR BATHROOM AND I FINISHED IT WHEN WE GOT HOME.. WE ADDED A LIGHT KIT TO IT TO MAKE IT WORK OFF OF ELECTRICITY.. BUT YET LOOKS LIKE A CAMPING LANTERN (BECAUSE IT WAS).. HE WILL CUT A SPECIAL "HOOK" OUT OF THE FORKS OF A TREE SAPLING TO MAKE THE HANGER FOR IT.. LOOKS NEAT ONCE IT'S DONE.. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING IT ALL DONE! THEN ON TO PAINTING MY KITCHEN CABINETS.. AH.. HATE PAINTING, BUT LOVE WHEN IT'S DONE.. AND CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT MY SISTER "LOVES PAINTING"??? WOW! MUST BE NICE! WHAT A GIFT!!! I THINK WHAT I DREAD ABOUT THIS PAINTING FOR MY CABINETS IS THAT THE CABINETS ARE ONE COLOR.. AND THE DOORS ANOTHER.. I "THINK" AND "HOPE"  IT WILL LOOK AWESOME ONCE IT'S DONE.. BUT JUST GETTING TO THAT PART! ... BUT THEN HAD WE NOT STARTED TWO JOBS AT ONCE, MAYBE I WOULD BE DONE! .. BUT THEN AGAIN, I HATE PAINTING WHEN IT'S RAINY AND IT SURELY WAS RAINY A COUPLE OF DAYS.. BUT FOR NOW IT'S OVER! WE'LL GET IT AND BE GLAD THAT IT'S DONE! (*.*) THANKS GOD FOR THE DETERMINATION!
