Awww, meet Pearl and Harry, or DO YOU KNOW THEM?

Just wanting to introduce you to a sweet ole couple that lives way out in the country. Their names are Pearl and Harry and have been out there in the country for many years, even though they have no idea just how many years. See, they started out living with a pretty old couple and loved them so much, their names were Sarah and Joseph. Sarah and Joseph had children but they were all grown when Pearl and Harry came there to the big old house.

 Pearl and Harry were very happy there, it really suited both of them. It was as if they were made for each other, and they may have been. Both were getting on up in years and neither of them could remember anything about living or life, nature, or anything until the couple created them on that one fall day. Neither could remember even when they met or how... Just one day they both were put together and were aware! 

Pearl loved being outside and spent most of her time in the flower garden. Her favorite was sunflowers, and mostly the flowers and trees of autumn. They were part of her very first memories. Harry was the other part. Harry spent his time out in the garden and he loved it there, he watched over the tomatoes, peppers, corn and more, but his favorites was the pumpkins. He dearly loved the pumpkins.


See, truthfully Pearl 'to most people' was far from a pearl, and Harry had no hair at all, only old straw sticking out from under his hat. Both were only scarecrows made by an older couple that also loved autumn. Sarah and Joseph had in recent years both been moved into a nursing home. So Harry and Pearl took upon themselves to take care of the house and grounds of the dear loving couple that created them. They didn't understand that very few people ever move back home after being in a nursing

home. Harry and Pearl even lived the way that they thought the old couple lived, but then they weren't sure because they only knew how they were outside. Pearl and Harry were sitting on the front steps one really cool fall night when both rubbed their eyes and took a second look at the little ??? kids ??? they saw coming up the driveway. Scariest little kids they had ever seen, especially since the only kids they had ever seen was many years ago, they saw Sarah and Joseph's grandchildren, but they were half grown.. Some of these little kids looked like ghost, some were witches, some had horns, some had long hair all over their faces.

Pearl looked at Harry with an expression of fear, so Harry took her by the hand and told her to stand perfectly still beside him in his pumpkin patch.. (it was small, but Joseph and Sarah's granddaughter  came one day and just placed they things there, he thought because they knew he missed his pumpkin patch). But he heard they saying something about autumn decorations, but he didn't understand. "We will be safe here" he said, "just stand here with me". The kids knocked and knocked on the door of the old couples house. KNOCKED LOUDER AND LOUDER, THEN YELLED OUT THE STRANGEST THING "TRICK OR TREAT", "TRICK OR TREAT"!  Harry and Pearl stood in silence and watched the strange children as they yelled "TRICK OR TREAT" once again.  The children's parents yelled to the children, "come on, we'll go to some other houses, must be no one at home" Pearl squeezed Harry's hand and glanced at him with a smile when she heard the wonderful sound of children's laughter. One little one yelled once again, Happy Halloween, and they all just laughed and skipped away.

 ARE YOU ENJOYING THE COLORS OF FALL.. I KNOW I SURELY AM GOING TO MISS IT WHEN IT'S GONE AND THE WAY THE WIND BLOWS FROM TIME TO TIME, IT MAY NOT BE LONG NOW... THEN WE WILL BE LOOKING AT LOTS OF "NAKED" TREES.. LOL BUT EVEN THEN THE POEM I LEARNED MANY YEARS AGO COMES TO MIND.. "I THINK I SHALL NEVER SEE, A POEM AS LOVELY AS A TREE...." HOW TRUE! SO, I SUPPOSE WE BEST JUST ENJOY THE COLORS WHILE WE CAN AND GIVE OUR THANKS TO GOD THE CREATOR OF ALL THE BEAUTIFUL NATURE AND COLORS .. HE IS AN AWESOME GOD! NO WAY AROUND IT AND GIVES US SO MUCH TO SEE AND ENJOY. YET, IT IS ALL FOR A PURPOSE.. AND I FOR ONE WONDER IF THE LEAVES DON'T GET SO BEAUTIFUL JUST BEFORE THEY FALL AND DIE, BECAUSE OF THEIR DEATHS HELPING TO SAVE THE TREE THROUGH THE WINTER, WITH IT'S ICE AND HEAVY SNOW???? HE HAS THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING, YET MADE IT ENJOYABLE TOO.. 
 SPECIAL PRAYERS STILL FOR JAKE AND HIS LOVING WIFE FRANCES.. HE'S BEEN THOUGH SO MUCH IN HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER.. GOD BLESS AND HEAL PLEASE AND THANK YOU. PRAYING FOR JENNA AND HER HEALTH ISSUE, AND THAT THEY WILL SOON FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT IT IS AND HAVE THE PERFECT THING TO CURE IT.. PRAYING ALWAYS FOR LITTLE EVAN AND ALL THE OTHER LITTLE ONES WITH THIS E.B. OR ANY OTHER DREADFUL DISEASE.. PRAYING FOR EVERYONE WITH CANCER OF ANY KIND, FOR THEIR COMFORT, HEALING, AND GOD'S WONDERFUL ARMS WRAPPED AROUND EACH OF THEM ALONG WITH THE MANY OTHERS ON THIS PRAYER LIST, AS WELL AS YOU AND YOURS. PRAYING TOO FOR OUR FAMILY, EXTENDED FAMILIES, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, CO-WORKERS AND FOR EACH OF YOU AND YOURS AND YOUR PRAYER LIST AS WELL.. GOD PLEASE WRAP YOUR LOVING ARMS AROUND EACH OF US AND BLESS US SPIRITUALLY, PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY, MENTALLY, FINANCIALLY, AND WITH HIS GRACE, LOVE, GUIDANCE, MERCIES, AND A SPECIAL LITTLE BLESSING FROM HIM FOR EACH, SOMETHING THAT ONLY HE KNOWS IS NEEDED, SO THAT THERE WILL BE NO DOUBT OR QUESTION THAT IT WAS FROM HIM AND HIM ONLY! PRAYING FOR THE INNOCENT OF ALL AGES, AND HIS PROTECTION OF EACH. PRAYING TOO FOR OUR COUNTRY AND THESE LEADERS WE HAVE THAT THEY WILL TURN TO HIM AND FINALLY DO WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THE COUNTRY! PRAYING FOR THE SOLDIERS AND THEIR PROTECTION AND COMFORT, PEACE, AND GUIDANCE FOR EACH OF THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND THAT THEY WILL SOON BE BACK HOME TO GOOD DECENT JOBS AND INNER PEACE.
