GOLD WRAPPED GIFT

The story goes that some time ago a man punished his 5-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became even more upset when the child pasted the gold paper so as to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy."
The father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He spoke to her in a harsh manner, "Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package?"
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was full."
The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his little girl, and he begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.
An accident took the life of the child only a short time later and it is told that the father kept that gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. And whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems he would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given a golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

guess it could have been a green wrapped box (*.*)

"NOSE WIGGLING, AND SNUGGLING..."
means THANK YOU in bunny language...
they were both glad that we were home and gave
them water (not frozen) and fresh veggies and pellets tonight!
THE CATS AND DOG WERE ALSO HAPPY,

Saturday, finally we got out the most important
part of our Christmas decorations..
THE NATIVITY..
(it would be nice to have one this fancy, but actually
we just have a Mary (with attached baby JESUS, and Joseph and
an angel) this year we didn't even build a stable.. we put them
in front of a pine tree out at the end of our driveway)
But still (even though ours isn't fancy) it shows in a small part
our love and appreciation for the
GREATEST GIFT EVER GIVEN!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we were up several times with Mom last night,
mostly just checking on her.. but we don't mind (*.*)
she can be sooo sweet! we are thankful for her and her
long, mostly healthy, happy life
I got up around eight this morning and fixed some
cooked apples, sausage, biscuits and cinnamon rolls
for breakfast.. to my surprise (with help) she did get
up and eat before I had to leave for work..
Then after work, we were back over there for awhile..
Jeff is going to stay tonight because I have to be at work at
8:00 in the morning (even though school is 2 hours late, due
the wind chill factor, we still have to be on time, because the kids
still eat at their regular time. Frances says she is going to stay tomorrow
night, if so "thanks Frances, how sweet"
Mom told Frances and I last night that she is going to
try her best to still be here for Christmas! Then she also
mentioned her birthday (it's January 25)... I do know
that she will be here until the Lord calls her 'home'!
GOD BLESS!
Boy, is it cold out tonight, and so windy.. brrrrr!
Anyway, thanks Jeff... we are trying to be there for not only Mom,
but also to help relieve some of the task and "watch" from Jenna..
She has and still is doing a terrific job! THANKS JENNA,
we love and appreciate all you've done.
AND COMFORT PLEASE, AND AS ALWAYS, ABOVE ALL
THY WILL BE DONE!
LOVE AND PRAYERS TO EACH OF YOU AND
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!
