JUDGE GENTLY, until you've walked in his shoes

Blonde Or Brunette?
A blonde is sitting at home one day when she decides she's sick of hearing all those blonde jokes, so she decides to dye her hair brown. To see if it works, she goes to a farm. She walks up to the farmer and says, "If I can guess how many sheep you have, can I take one home?"The farmer kinda chuckles to himself, and then replies, "Sure, why not?"The blonde pulls out a calculator and does a whole bunch of calculus and trig equations and comes up with a number. She says to the farmer, "There are 314 sheep out there."The farmer looks at her with a shocked expression and says, "You're right! Go take your pick".The blonde takes a few minutes to pick a sheep, waves to the farmer, and leaves. She's sitting at home the next day when she hears a knock on her front door. She opens it and finds the farmer standing there, holding his hat. He says to her, "If I can guess your real hair color, can I have my dog back?"

JUDGE GENTLY,
UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED IN HIS SHOES

Pray, don’t find fault with the man that limps
Or stumbles along the road.
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears
Or struggled beneath his load.
There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt
Though hidden away from view.
Or the burden he bears placed on your back
Might cause you to stumble too.
Don’t sneer at the man who’s down today
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall or felt the shame
That only the fallen know.
You may be strong but still the blows
That was his if dealt to you
In the selfsame way, at the selfsame time
Might cause you to stagger too.
Don’t be too harsh with the man that sins
Or pelt him with word or stone
Unless you are sure – yea, doubly sure
That you have no sins of your own.
For you know, perhaps, if the tempter’s voice
Should whisper as soft to you
As it did to him when he went astray
It might cause you to falter too.

(an ode to our Mom, by me.. with love
yep, it's dumb.. what can I say...
just smile and be glad it's not you..)
REST PEACEFULLY MAMA,
(and Jenna)
Today was a long, very trying day!
So many troubles along the way.
Cancer goes rampant within your brain,
And many times, you are "just not the same."
But, Mama, we love you still,
And no matter what, always will.
Now close your eyes,
Rest tonight, in peaceful painless sleep
God is still with you and all is well
So rest tonight, let your mind be at peace
We pray tonight Mama, that you will just sleep!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was a trying day at Moms, to say the least.
My goodness, what else can happen..
I tell you the truth, that cancer is a nasty and
painful thing!
Especially when you don't take your meds like you should.
"God, we pray that you will grant Mom (and Jenna) a super
restful refreshing night, and a better tomorrow.. Wrap Your
loving arms around her and give her inner peace, grace, less pain,
less struggle, and some happiness tomorrow, and the few tomorrows
that she has left. Bless Jenna and help her, she is strong, but this is
wearing her down, mentally and physically..grant her a special rest
and a wonderful blessing. Above all, Thy Will Be Done.
This and all things we ask in Jesus Holy
name, giving You the praise, honor and glory, amen."
