MY CHRISTMAS DREAM
this actually came from a Christmas card, hope you enjoy it!! Now red ribbons make me remember this.. another way to put HIM in "Christ"mas where HE belongs.. "the reason for the season"

MY CHRISTMAS DREAM
I had a dream one wintry night as the moon was full and bright
The snow fell softly on a tree, that stood alone just like me.
Then a man came walking by whose caring look caught my eye.
It was Jesus walking there, calmly in the cold night air. In my heart at once I knew, all I'd learned of Him was true. He is the light in children's eyes, and shining stars in clear night skies. Life's answer to each hurt and wrong, the peace we've needed for so long. It was the holy Christmas season, and He had come by for a reason. He put a bow upon the tree, a symbol of His gift for me. I woke up thinking of my dream, amazed at just how real it seemed. From my window I saw the bow; crimson red on the pure white snow. Ribbons were flowing down the tree, like the blood He shed for me. I was in awe of the bright red bow, then I saw His Footprints in the snow. YouTube - Michael W. Smith - Open the eyes of my heart

Well, I thought I would get my little elf display done this evening.. But, it didn't happen! To start with, we ran to Walmarts for some groceries.. and did a little Christmas shopping. Came home, put things away. And I got busy and made the necklace that a special friend ask me to make for her granddaughter (she's a precious little doll).. Then I sat down here to do my blog. I know it may be boring from time to time.. but that is life. Right? LOL-------------------------------------------------------
Let me back up a little.. to begin with.. we grew up with a SPECIAL ELF that our Dad would always put in the top of the Christmas tree.. as far back as I can remember.. it went right under the star or angel.. And all of us kids looked forward to watching him put the Elf on the tree.. Well, seems like that ELF has disappeared.. we don't know who took it.. but (*.*) ... gee, I hope that it means something special to them as well .... After I grew up, we always have had elves in our tree too.. (but it's not the same as Dad's Elf) But, we like them too.. mostly because they remind us of the other ELF.

So, years ago, I found a set of three little elves maybe 6 inches or so tall and always make a little place for them, now in remembrance of all the love and good times from the past, and from my childhood... Maybe tomorrow!
