Recipe For A Happy New Year
Take 12 fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly cleansed from all old memories of bitterness, hate, and jealousy. Cut these months into 30 or 31 equal parts. (This batch will keep for one year. Do not attempt to make more than one batch at a time-many people spoil the entire lot in this way.) Prepare one day at a time as follows: Into each day, put 12 parts of faith, 11 parts of patience, 10 parts of courage, 9 parts of work (some people omit this ingredient and spoil the flavor of the rest), 8 parts of hope, 7 parts of fidelity, 6 parts of open-mindedness,5 parts of kindness, 4 parts of rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad, "don't do it" ), 3 parts of prayer, 2 parts of meditation, and 1 well-selected resolution. Add a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor. Pour love liberally into the whole, and mix with strength.

Resolution#1 This year how about making a resolution that you are going to say random words of kindness to 1 person every day. That you will bless or compliment someone just because you can. Whether it be your spouse, your child, your neighbor, or the stranger standing in front of you in the grocery store, you are going to find one person every day that you can bless with words of kindness and mercy. Resolution #2 Be prosperous in the new year. Prosperity centers in on the health and wholeness of your spirit and soul. Make this year a year that you center in on how healthy you are spiritually and emotionally. Instead of getting into more debt where that brings anxiety to your heart, work on getting out of debt. Instead of taking on a second job just so you can have more toys, work on becoming content with what you have so you can spend more time with your children. Instead of taking a job that makes you work nights just so you can get a promotion, how about thinking outside the box and get your promotion at home by being the greatest spouse, parent, neighbor you can be?

WOW HAVE I BEEN BUSY TODAY!! I UN- CHRISTMAS DECORATED OUTSIDE TODAY.. THEN RE-WINTER DECORATED OUT THERE.. I REALLY LIKE THE WHITE LIGHTS UP THE BANISTERS AND THAT WE 'HAD' ON THE TREE OUT THERE (we had colored and white lights on the tree) .. SO I, WITH MANY CHANGES WILL LEAVE THEM GOING UP MY BANISTERS.. I DID TAKE DOWN THE CHRISTMAS TREE AND OTHER CHRISTMAS THINGS OUT THERE AND ADDED A LITTLE "WOODSY" TREE (one that was part of a three tree set.. this one is about 5 feet tall and they are really slender, one was aprox 4 ft tall and the last maybe 3 ft tall) I sprayed it a little around the 'edges' with white (to make it look snowy) then I added a snowman (dressed in dark burgundy and dark blue, he is holding a bird house and has a bird on top of his hat) and I added some birds here and there.. and one the little slim tree.. I added a little pair of birds and a real little bird's nest (that I found outside) BEHIND IT ALL IS LATTICE WORK AND ABOVE IT A CUTE LITTLE ROOF AND HANGING ON IT IS SNOWFLAKES AND ICICLES..... SO, IT SHOULD STILL BRIGHTEN UP THINGS A LITTLE OUT THERE..

ALSO OUT WHERE THE MANGER WAS, I LEFT THE ANGEL AND MANGER BACK GROUND, AND THE LIGHT THAT SHINES UPON THE WHOLE THING.. I ADDED SOME OF GOD'S LITTLE CRITTERS, MANY BUNNIES, AND SOME SQUIRRELS.. AND A PAIR OF DOVES ON TOP THE MANGER FRAME.. ALSO, THE OTHER TWO WOODSY TREES, (no lights, because the spot light will shine on it all) AND TWO LITTLE ARTIFICIAL EVERGREEN PLANTS (one on each side) AND AS I SAID, THE SPOT LIGHT WILL STILL SHINE ON IT ADDING MUCH MORE LIGHT TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE ... "WE LIVE IN THE WOODS, AND BOY IS IT DARK HERE" ... SO I APPRECIATE THE ADDED LIGHTS. AND I CHANGED THE WREATH ON THE FRONT DOOR TO A WINTER SNOWMAN (stuffed snowman head) IT IS IN TWO SHADES OF GREEN AND BURGUNDY, SNOWFLAKES AND ICICLES AT THE TOP... SO, I AM READY TO KICK BACK FOR A LITTLE WHILE, ONCE I GET THIS LOAD OF LAUNDRY DONE. THE ONLY THING INSIDE TOWARDS UN-DECORATING IS ONE SHELF... BUT THAT'S OKAY TOO, HAS TO BE FOR NOW BECAUSE, I'M POOPED!! BUT IT SURE FEELS GOOD TO AT LEAST HAVE THAT MUCH DONE AND PACKED AWAY!! "THANKS GOD"=============================================
