THIS IS "SNOOKIE" MY MOM'S CAT.. (she ask me to take care of her a couple of months before she passed away... so actually and intentionally she gave her to me, but still, she will always be Mom's cat.. the one I am taking care of 'lovingly' for her) She's a beautiful cat, very sweet and beginning to be a very loving cat, thankfully BUT ... 
Today she brought a live baby squirrel into the house and just let it go.. Needless to say, Norman had quite a morning (I am glad that he was here and it was brought to him and not to me!) lol... Thankfully, I was at work! Well, either she had hurt it somehow or it was hurt(but not bleeding) when she found it because he gathered it up and laid it up high outside hoping the Mother Squirrel would come get her baby... It laid there a long time, hardly moving at all.. Then finally it let out some shrill noises sort of like chirping noises.. time and time again it called out, waiting a short time before 'sets of calls' I kept watching out the window (we had the cats and Homerjoe inside long before now, so they wouldn't show interest, and prevent the mother from coming)

Finally, here she came down the tree right to her baby.. I had never seen them do it, but she picked her baby up, turned it upside down and grabbed it and off they ran into the woods .. (well 90 % or more, of our yard is woods).. I was so glad that she got it.. But, poor thing.. she also had some kind of injury to her side. She actually had a cut or gash on her side. I don't believe Snookie could have hurt a full grown squirrel.. she's de-clawed! But, anyway.. the Mother Squirrel finally got her baby and I prefer to believe that they are resting comfortably and healing together..
"SORRY" ... she looked so sad when I got home.. don't know if it was because he didn't like her gift ? Or maybe because it was hurt ? lol Well, she's precious, and we Love her anyway! Even if she was scolded for bringing the baby squirrel into the house... WE LOVE YOU SNOOKIE! Back when Mom got her (maybe four or five months before she passed away) her previous name had been more like Suki or maybe Souki?? Or something like that.. See why we changed it to Snookie.. Usually we call her "Miss Pretty" lol
IT'S FRIDAY! (BUT WON'T IT SEEM LIKE TOMORROW IS MONDAY?) THE WEEKS MOVE ALONG PRETTY QUICKLY, BUT THE WEEKENDS FLY BY! My day started early this morning... I had to go in and cook breakfast for all the Jeter Watson kids.. (my co-worker was off today) And then with the new schedules, we are working later too.. "just means a nickle or two more on our paychecks" lol .. And I am grateful for my job, and the insurance it allows us to have.. THANKS GOD!

Once I got home and we watched for the Mother Squirrel until she came.. We decided to run and get animal food.. we came back with 200 pounds (four 50 lb bags) of laying mash/ chick crack corn/ sweet feed/ and rabbit food.. We give them more than they need, I'm sure.. but I can't stand to think they are hungry! (even though, anytime and every time you go into the chicken pen.. any one's chicken pen.. they act hungry! lol) They eat like pigs.. So do the bunnies! But, we don't mind.. We love watching them. They are all precious, and loved, not to mention 'interesting'.
Oh, by the way.. if you need any fresh eggs.. they are laying now.. mostly brown eggs.. call us at 747-3015 or email us at kimberlinhomeoff@aol.com we sell the large ones for $2.00 a dozen and the smaller ones for $1.50 per dozen.. They are good! Just way to many for the two of us to eat!!
-------------------------------------------TONIGHT IS THE COVINGTON, ALLEGHANY GAME.. I READ THE OTHER DAY THAT COVINGTON HASN'T WON SINCE 17 YEARS AGO! IT'S PAST TIME FOR THEM TO WIN, FOR SURE.. BUT THE TEAM SIZE.. WOW.. ALLEGHANY HAS WAY MORE PLAYERS, SO THEY DON'T GET SO TIRED NOR WORK SO HARD.. ANYWAY, I HOPE AND PRAY THAT NO ONE GET'S HURT AND IT'S A FAIR GAME.. AND SINCE I WORK FOR COVINGTON SCHOOLS (with gratitude) AND MY GRANDCHILDREN GOES TO COVINGTON SCHOOLS (as well as our three sons when they were younger) I JUST HAVE TO SAY IT..................... PRAYING FOR OUR COUNTRY THAT GOD WILL BLESS AND GUIDE OUR LEADERS TO DO WHAT HE KNOWS IS BEST AND RIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY..
