Love when the kids come!

WE JUST LOVE WHEN THE KIDS COME TO SEE US!
This evening one of our sons came to see us. Actually he came to bring his brother's children up for the evening and night, but we'll pretend for now that it was only to see us. : } I tell you the absolute truth, they all three grew up sooooo fast, don't know where all the time went! I just know that I have wonderful memories of raising the three of them, and even having our foster son Michael (even though he didn't get to stay no where long enough. he could have stayed the rest of his life). Michael's been gone for many, many years... but we still think of him so often.
They sure kept us busy, thankfully they were all extremely healthy, full of life, and most of the time, full of themselves : ) But, oh the sweet memories!
We had a busy, but nice day at work today (I guess as nice as they could be) and still be called work. Again we were really BUSY, but then (we usually are) just something we have to deal with I guess. They like everyone else likes to work as few as they can for as few hours as they can yet get all the work done, plus! People keep saying things are getting better in this world, but for the most part, I don't see it! Just like good ole 40 hour a week jobs, seems nearly to be 'a thing of the past'! How sad! And most of the plants and factories are gone, like the sewing factories... Covington use to have three and they kept a lot of women with jobs (for many years) now since 1998... we have none. The last actually went to Mexico! The pay wasn't huge, but you could count on it! And it was all day shift, off weekends.. so you could attend church without a problem. Now were do you look? I used to think that when we get to heaven, we'll know why all these things have happened, and are still happening. But then a 'light bulb' went off in my little pea sized mind and I realize that when we get to heaven, we won't care why any of this happens! Like the song says "the things of the earth, will grow strangely dim.. in the light of His glory and grace! And, I do believe that!!
Well, let me get off of all of this! Sorry I got started on it. I've had a lovely evening so far. JD's visit was to short, but always sweet! But 'Abby' and 'Nate' are still here, and we have things to do, and some cinnamon rolls to bake ('Nate's ' favorite) So, I had better "get with the program" ; }
Wishing for you and yours a lovely evening! With our love, respect, and prayers.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
