POOR KITTY CAT/ GOD BLESS!When we were coming home from Salem (the V.A. hospital) again on Rt 220 @ Iron Gate Gorge, we saw a big black and white cat, squirming in the road, I slowed down as best I could (because of all the traffic) Then we realized he had been hit ! Poor thing, I felt so sorry for him, but if you've ever been that way you know how bumper to bumper, (going and coming) the traffic is. All I could do is say a little prayer for him! How Sad!!!
Norman had pretty good results from his doctor's visit today... sort of ? He has lost 9 pounds! (actually he had lost even more but being stuck inside since before Christmas, he had put back on a little bit of it) . The bad news is (only semi-bad) they put him on 16 units of insulin a day (for a while) from the 12 he was on. But he is still on the same 7 pills for diabetes per day, and his other meds of course didn't change. We figure that will change (for the better again) once he can get out some and get busy. Hopefully we are looking forward soon to some good weather! Another plus is that we don't have to make that trip again until 19th of February. Now that is enough to SMILE about!!! Oh, I am not one to be on the road much.. it is more than far enough from my house to work! Guess the song 'On the road again' doesn't apply to me, not in a happy way anyhow... I just don't like traveling at all, not to mention still getting sick from riding! I am just glad being at home, guess that is partially why running a home day care really suited me, let along all the little ones I was around. I didn't get paid much, but all the hugs were awesome.
Work went quick today but boy were we busy, actually up to our elbows cleaning ovens! At times most of our bodys were in the ovens, once we had removed the 6 racks from each of them and sprayed them to 'soak' a few minutes. We have 3 sets of stack ovens and gee they took the whole work period today. School was out for the kids, so we were just there to clean, thankfully. It was one of those days that wasn't really stressful, but you are glad that it's over! Sounds like a lot of fun, don't you think so?
Tomorrow I am going to 'make the call' just to ask some pretty 'thought out questions' about a job I heard of... I've been praying about it, and asking God to reveal His will and plans for me, and hopefully something with benefits, and a little more time. Pray with me about this please, and thank you because if you are reading this, I know you are my friend and want what's best for us.
