Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.. somehow we have GOT to get the car out of the driveway so I can be at work at 7:30 in the morning. Yes, school is closed, but we have extra cleaning to do, and I am thankful for the extra four hours (or so) especially since we missed (2 of us without pay) Friday and Monday. It's a mess! But as Ray Stevens sings in his song EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL, IN IT'S OWN WAY.. (guess the mud is beautiful to a family of hogs) We have to take the car instead of him running me in the Trooper, because he also has a doctor's appointment in Salem tomorrow, and not time enough to run home between the two. So, we have no choice. Then again, our difficulties are small in comparison to those of the Haitian people. God bless, strengthen, and protect those dear people. Thank You Father, in Jesus name, amen.
Back in the summer, I had rather large coleuses on the front porch. They were so pretty, a deep purple with a bright green running through the leaves. I took four slips from them to try to 'winter over'. One died before Christmas, which isn't unusual.. they are usually hard to keep over. But to my surprise today when I went to water them, the other three are doing well and even actually BLOOMING! A reminder that life goes on, mud or not!
EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL (Ray Stevens)
Jesus loves the little children,
All the little children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in his sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
Everything is beautiful in its own way.
Like the starry summer night,
or a snow-covered winter's day
And every body's beautiful in their own way.
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find the way.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL THE HAITIAN PEOPLE AND ALL OF THOSE THAT ARE GOING TO HELP THEM. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT, PLEASE AND THANK YOU IN JESUS NAME.
