REMINDS ME OF A PRECIOUS MEMORY

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
Thank You God!
Wasn't today absolutely beautiful? Especially since they are calling for it to be 30 degrees cooler here on Friday ; ( ... Today was 'plenty' warm enough, and the little breeze was wonderful.
Guess that's why it's so good to just take it "one day at a time". Makes me know how much work I have to do outside to get the patio ready and the yard cleaned up before summer. But then, I'm off for a couple of months in the summer... guess it's no big rush.. some of it can be done then. We have some plans for outdoors this year, but then we had plans for them last year too, but I just didn't feel no where near up to it! Hopefully this year we will both stay healthy, and ready, willing and able to get a lot done!
'Nate' and 'Abby' just left, poor Homer goes through 'withdraws' when they leave... he enjoys them so much, makes him act like a puppy again : ) He sure hated that thunder and lightening last night. And the lights went out shortly before we went to bed (actually this early morning) and the kids didn't like that! But oh how quickly they went to sleep once we went on to bed. We gave them each a flashlight to hold on to "just in case" they thought they needed them, but all was fine thankfully! The thunder really was LOUD and the lightening really BRIGHT for sure. I am just thankful that it didn't cause any problems.
That reminds me of a precious memory. One of the associate pastors and his wife were being recognized on their 50 anniversary (or so) at church a couple of years ago... And she got up in her special, sweet, precious, jolly personality when it was said that their marriage 'must have been made in heaven' (to have endured so long, and still going so strong) and her answer was something like this "YES, BUT SO WAS THUNDER AND LIGHTENING"
Ya just have to LOVE someone like that for sure, and we do, SHE'S A WONDERFUL LADY AND WE PRAY FOR HEALTH AND GOD'S BLESSINGS FOR HER AND FOR HIM TOO! You can without a doubt see the LOVE OF GOD in them and in their lives!
We took the kids for a ride today up to Paint Bank, let them see the bovine chick (coming out of it's huge egg) and also into the SWINGING BRIDGE RESTAURANT... but just to look around and get a soda and a pack of peanuts.. Hopefully we will all go up there for supper this summer... looks fun for the kids, and we went on Sunday after the sunrise service, and the food was delicious. It was nice just getting out for a little while with no place in mind to go.. And it was just to beautiful today to stay inside all day. Thanks God for the freedom and the chance to go at our own free will. Thanks too for our safety! Tomorrow, it's back to work... but I am thankful for my job also, even if it is really getting HOT in there already!
Learned something yesterday that I hadn't done before. But I was told by our youngest son that I would be able to do it without a hitch.. And truthfully the only problem is with this satellite dish! It has been acting up for weeks : ( That was to place some flower arrangements, and jewelry sets on Ebay. I have bought before, MANY TIMES... but this is my personal first time placing something on ebay.. I put 3 flowers and 5 necklace.bracelet, and earring sets.. WISH ME LUCK. YOU NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY! I like doing both things, but you only have room for so many, and then you have the expense of doing.. so I thought, why not try!
Father, we thank You for loving, forgiving and saving us. Thank You for providing a way for us to spend eternity with You. Thank You Jesus for Your awesome sacrifice. Please Father forgive us our daily sins, and help us to be forgiving of others and to live for You. Thank You for Norman, our family, our extended families, our church families, our friends, neighbors and co-workers and the inner peace and safety of each. Please be with the soldiers and their families, and protect and provide for them and grant them inner peace and comfort. Please be with our country, and our countries leaders and help them all to become closer to You. We know You are still in control and for that we are SO GRATEFUL.
