THANK YOU LORD!
Well, today my Mom wanted me to come over after work! So, I went over to see what she needed me to do. To my surprise, she had cooked supper for us, and gave us quite a few tomato plants (12), eight cabbage plants, four pepper plants and one marigold, oh, and two plants that might be cucumbers? "go figure" : ) She is such a sweet lady, and we are blessed to still have her around. I do pray for her health daily, she has quite a few health issues now, but doing really good to be 81 years old! Here I thought that 'maybe she actually needed me to do something for her for a change'.. Lord knows I am willing to help her in any way I can! Thanks God for the Christian parents You gave me, please give my Dad a hug from me. Sorry Lord that I didn't make it back home in time for church tonight, (to begin with, I didn't realize it was Wednesday, then I just couldn't rush off and leave her, she so seemed extra happy to see us today!--------------------------
Now we have 44 tomato plants, 12 pepper plants, and 8 cabbage plants. Still we are wanting a few cucumbers (if we can find any). THANKS GOD, WE APPRECIATE THEM ALL, AND LOVE HOME GROWN VEGGIES (and it will help with our grocery bill for the summer, Lord's willing)

A farmer purchased an old, run-down, abandoned farm with plans to turn it into a thriving enterprise. The fields were grown over with weeds, the farmhouse was falling apart, and the fences were broken down. During his first day of work, the town preacher stops by to bless the man's work, saying, "May you and God work together to make this the farm of your dreams!" A few months later, the preacher stops by again to call on the farmer. Lo and behold,it's a completely different place. The farm house is completely rebuilt and in excellent condition, there is plenty of cattle and other livestock happily munching on feed in well-fenced pens, and the fields are filled with crops planted in neat rows. "Amazing!" the preacher says. "Look what God and you have accomplished together!" "Yes, reverend," says the farmer, "but remember what the farm was like when I was working it alone, before God's blessings!"

remember: God made rainy days, so gardeners could get the housework done.

11 more days to work this school year! I thought all day that it was Thursday and tomorrow was Friday ; / what a rude awakening to realize that it's only Wednesday.. it has been one of those weeks. I know you know the kind I am speaking of, right? .. Have you heard the saying "My Mother told me that there would be days like today, but she didn't tell me how many of them there would be, or that a few could fall straight in a row!" ........ No honestly, I am grateful for my job (still praying for full time with benefits next year, Lord's willing) And I look around and see terminally ill people, and people crippled up, some waisting their lives on drugs or drinking, and some just to lazy to move, and I realize just how wonderfully blessed I am.
THANK YOU GOD!

on the other hand, my husband, bless his heart, laughs and tells me that I need the summer off (away from some of the ladies that I work with) ha. He says that he will tell me something simple, and I get a far away look on my face like I have no earthly idea of what he is saying..
Maybe I am developing 'selective hearing' like he has : ) lol
I mean we've been together over 40 years now, guess it could rub off! ; )
