Let's celebrate the labor

That built up this great land

From field to field to desk to desk

They built it hand in hand

Thank you, carpenters

Thank you, welders

Thank you, workers all!

Thank you, farmers

Thank you, machinists

For contributions great and small

On September 6 th, let's remember

The sweat and elbow grease

That gave us all of our comforts

Our gratitude shall never cease

Thank you, cleaners

Thank you, counselors

Thank you, workers all!

Thank you, protectors

Thank you, processors

Without you, surely we'd fall!

Don't let us forget the workers

Who for us labor each day

Building our houses, stores and steeples

Let us be grateful when we pray

Thank you, nurses

Thank you, doctors

Thank you, workers all!

Thank you, teachers

Thank you, artists

You've done well, so proudly stand tall!

Blessed be the works of Your hands,
O Holy One.
Blessed be these hands that have touched life.
Blessed be these hands that have nurtured creativity.
Blessed be these hands that have held pain.
Blessed be these hands that have embraced with passion.
Blessed be these hands that have tended gardens.
Blessed be these hands that have closed in anger.
Blessed be these hands that have planted new seeds.
Blessed be these hands that have harvested ripe fields.
Blessed be these hands that have cleaned, washed, mopped, scrubbed.
Blessed be these hands that have become knotty with age.
Blessed be these hands that are wrinkled and scarred from doing justice.
Blessed be these hands that have reached out and been received.
Blessed be these hands that hold the promise of the future.
Blessed be the works of your hands.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus.

Thank You for Your perfect love, Your Word,

Your grace, mercies, blessings, guidance,

forgiveness, and inner peace.

Father, please bless our country, guide

the leaders and help them to work together

for the good of the people and the world.

Help us all to put You first, ALWAYS!

Draw us all closer to You.

Please help the leaders to make jobs more

plentiful and the workers and employers

more appreciative. I know this all could be

done, if only You were put first!

Thank You Lord for everything You do..

And we give You our love, thanks, praise,

honor and glory in Jesus Holy name, amen.
