IT SURE WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!
THANK EACH OF YOU AND GOD BLESS
The following words were spoken by the late Red Skelton on his television program as he related the story of his teacher, Mr. Laswell, who felt his students had come to think of the Pledge of Allegiance as merely something to recite in class each day.
Now, more than ever, listen to the meaning of these words.
"I've been listening to you boys and girls recite the Pledge of Allegiance all semester
and it seems as though it is becoming monotonous to you.
If I may, may I recite it and try to explain to you the meaning of each word?"
I
me, an individual, a committee of one.
Pledge
dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self pity.
Allegiance
my love and my devotion.
To the flag
our standard, Old Glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever
she waves, there's respect because your loyalty has given
her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job!
United
that means that we have all come together.
States
individual communities that have united into 48 great states.
Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and
purpose; all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to
a common purpose, and that's love for country.
And to the republic
a state in which sovereign power is
invested in representatives chosen by the
people to govern. And government is the people
and it's from the people to the leaders, not from
the leaders to the people.
For which it stands, one nation
Under God
one nation, meaning "so
blessed by God"
Indivisible
incapable of being divided.
With liberty
which is freedom -- the right of power to live one's
own life without threats, fear or some sort of
retaliation.
And Justice
the principle or quality of dealing fairly with others.
For all
which means, boys and girls, it's as much your
country as it is mine.
***~~**~~***
Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country
and two words have been added to the pledge of Allegiance...
UNDER GOD
Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said
that is a prayer
and that would be eliminated from schools too?
God Bless America!

HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL DAY...
IT SURELY WAS A PRETTY ONE!

Do you know a heart that hungers For a word of love and cheer?
There are many such about us;It may be that one is near.

Look around you. If you find it Speak the word that's needed so,
And your own heart may be strengthened

By the help that you bestow.

Never think kind words are wasted,Bread on waters cast are they,
And it may be we shall find them Coming back to us, some day.
Coming back when sorely needed,In a time of sore distress,
So, my friend, let's give them freely;Gift and giver God will bless.

John 15:12 This is My commandment,
that you love one another as I have loved you.
when I was a child, we used to sing a prayerful chorus..
went something like...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I LOVE HIM,
I LOVE HIM,
BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED ME,
AND PURCHASED MY SALVATION
SO FULL AND FREE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We went over again today (as usual) and Jenna and I
cooked the supper we took for tonight.
I hope everyone liked it pretty good..
But still we have lots of left overs.
Mom is really in a lot of pain, they raised the dosage of
her pain patch today (Hospice) I hope it helps
to control it for her. She is trying so hard to keep her
spirits up, but still has a lot of sad times, and a lot of pain..
GOD BLESS AND COMFORT PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

She has enjoyed John being there.. He is really good for her.
Thanks John, and thanks Joni and Ashley for sharing him
with her even when you can't make it up. "God Bless"
She also enjoyed her other company she had today..
Thanks to each of them.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow night she is wanting Chris, Lily, Kayla, and Anna,
Norman, Leisa, Nathan, Abigail and Jeff to come for supper..
And I don't know who else, but she ask me to ask these..
(our family)

Another week winding down, we are looking forward to the
weekend, (as usual) seems like we always are!
Time is flying for sure. It will be Christmas before we know it!
(*.*) "OH ME, OH MY!" LORD HELP US PLEASE (*_*)
It's a scary thought for us, how about you?
So far we have just a few "parts of gifts"..........
I know it's not about "gifts" but for the grand kids especially
we hope to have some special things for them..
As for us, we don't need or ask for anything.
But, let's not forget THANKSGIVING!
IT IS A SPECIAL TIME AT OUR HOUSE TOO
(usually Norman, Leisa, Nathan and Abigail come up for a
day or two and we just spend "quality time" together)
THANKS TO EACH OF YOU!
