YouTube - Put your hand in the hand-Elvis Presley
Once a friend of mine was getting off a train in the Cleveland Terminal, and a young man got off in front of him, carrying a suitcase in one hand and a cane in the other. The man walked awkwardly as he felt his way with the cane. "May I help you carry your suitcase?" my friend asked. "No, thanks, I don't need any help with the suitcase," came the reply. "But if you wish, you may guide me up these stairs so I won't run into anyone. I am blind and I have a new set of artificial legs. But I've got to learn to make my own way, you know." When they got to the top of the stairs my friend took the young man rather firmly by the arm to guide him through the crowd entering the terminal. But the blind man stopped at once and spoke quietly: "No, don't take possession of me, just guide me, please. Put your arm on my shoulder; that's all I need."
Good words to remember when you help someone. "Put your hand on my shoulder and just guide me, please…" ~By William L. Stidger~ A Woman Pastor?A church had to hire a new pastor. Over the protests of one vocal male member a woman was hired as the new senior pastor. After the new pastor had been there a few weeks, a member of the congregation offered to take then new pastor fishing. The vocal objector reluctantly agreed to allow them to use his boat and to go along. The trio got into the boat and motored out on the lake. When they got ready to fish, they realized that all their tackle had been left on the dock. One of the men commented that he guess they would just have to go back and get it.The pastor said that wouldn't be necessary, and she got out of the boat and started walking across the water toward the dock. The old grouch said, "See I told you we never should have hired that woman. She can't even swim!"

another day at work today, this year has moved quickly along! won't be long until school is out for the year.. then my 'summer job' begins the next day.. "Lord help me, please!" Today after work, Norman picked me up and decided for us to do some selective shopping, but we didn't find what we were looking for. (don't you just hate those days?) Anyway, we tried.. maybe he'll find it tomorrow. "Lord's willing" I have been FIGHTING a headache all afternoon and evening.. I am going to take some tylenol and go to bed as soon as this load of laundry is dry!
Tomorrow is another day (*.*) GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!

Just as he came for the blind man, Jesus is coming for you. The hand that touched the blind man’s shoulder will touch your cheeks. The face that changed his life will change yours.
Precious Lord Take My Hand
Words & music by Thomas A. Dorsey
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I’m weak, I’m lone
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home
When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near
When my life is almost gone
Hear my cry, hear my call
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home
When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is past and gone
At the river I stand
Guide my feet, hold my hand
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand
I'm tired, I’m weak, Lord I’m worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home
