The Ascension of Our Lord, a holy day , celebrates the day that Christ, in the presence of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven. The Ascension occurred on the 40th day of Easter, so it falls on a Thursday, and thus is often called Ascension Thursday; however, in the United States, the celebration of the Ascension has been transferred to the following Sunday, six weeks after Easter 2011. Answer: Ascension Thursday falls on June 2, 2011, and it will be celebrated on that day YouTube - WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE

back down to help Norman and Abigail with the garden.. Leisa and Nathan came too.. It, thankfully, is looking pretty good! "Young yet, but not bad" Today they were watering the garden, then called us because our squash plant was getting chewed on by some beetles.. so we went out and bought some bug spray, and a sprayer to make the job a lot easier.. also we had a few tomato leaves turning yellowish.. (so we added the Epsom salt to them.. and it should do the trick) We are grateful to use the garden space and pray for a really good garden.. And I still think that it is good to involve the kids with such things.. interesting, and it is something they won't forget.. may even make them appreciate veggies even more (~.*) "God Bless"
isn't she cute? don't have a clue as to who she is, but she is precious! "God Bless"

And Norman got one of his wishes honored today... A new double recliner love sofa! It is so much bigger than the little single sleeper love sofa we bought recently.. Oh, don't get me wrong, it's cute, and in great condition, but to small for two "fluffy people" (*.*) And, oh how we do enjoy the recliner, love sofa.. (we've had one for mannnnny years) THANKS GOD ... anyway, so much for the standing shower for right now! But, one thing at a time!

ah, loving this new double recliner love sofa, THANKS GOD, and I especially appreciate my afternoon naps (whenever I can get one) sitting there with my dear hubby. NORMAN, YOU DID GOOD GOING AND PICKING IT OUT! LOVE YA BABE!========================================================
PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOURS TONIGHT AND EVERY NIGHT! GOD'S BLESSINGS TO EACH OF YOU Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will direct your paths.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
