HELLO... HELLO.... HELLLLO

This morning when we got up.. Norman told me that around 5:00 he would have swore that car lights were coming up the drive way.. and he heard a woman say "hello.. hello... hellllo... He said he was awake then as he was when we were talking???
but then when he raised up from the bed and looked out.. nothing???
We were surprised this morning to find out that school was closed.. do to smoke in the mechanical room..
They found out the problem and took care of it.. and the good thing is that there wasn't a fire like we had at the old Jeter Watson a couple of years back...
Then we were told that we don't have to make today up... (*.*) and everything is fine and we go back tomorrow
So, we got busy and got a few things done around here..
First, we had to run to town and get some small fence.. because the baby banny chicks run through this 1 inch fence like it wasn't there.. and that isn't safe for them... So, we had to look a couple of places.. even made a trip to Clifton Forge to the hardware store.. nothing.. then came back to Covington and lucked out and found the perfect thing...
While we were there we also got a few flowers, dirt, and mulch... and a few groceries.. We really NEED to be 
working in the garden! And hope to this weekend, Lord's willing.. While I was finishing putting the last bit of small fence on the banty yard.. (behind Norman, in part) .. He went over to the big chicken pen to feed them.. and guess what he found? you guessed it.. A big black snake.. approx. 5 feet long.. and honestly, it was fatter than it looks hanging down straight like this.. He told me.. I looked, and thought "snake!" I said .. "you keep your eye on it, so we'll know where it is and I'll go get the matic" (its like a short handle sturdy hoe)... When I returned.. Norman had stepped on the snake to keep it from getting away, and it was wrapped around his leg.... YUCK! Did I mention I HATE SNAKES??? WELL, IN MY OPINION.. THE ONLY GOOD SNAKE IS A DEAD SNAKE.. I guess it was there after either eggs??? or chickens??? But I would say, probably after the eggs! BUT, after it rained a little bit, and the thunder quietened down.. I went back out and planted the flowers.. and got a couple of things done out there... I even got the BEAUTIFUL HUMMING BIRD WIND TWIRLER HUNG OUT OVER OUT PICNIC TABLE.. now we just need the top back on the shelter logic (carport) and that will be set!

I wish it were that easy! Some people have NO respect for even themselves... so they can't respect others.. And many haven't been trained to show any respect for anyone!
