THANKFULLY THE BIRDS WERE SINGING!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to the birds singing this morning. Hope they had their little earmuffs on and perhaps long johns too. Thankfully it's warmer than it has been by far, but it was still rather cool early this morning. They were singing at first light. (24 up here) Reminds me of the good ole summer time when they woke us up every morning singing their little hearts out. I love it, and I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! Next thing this morning was a huge helicopter flew over... sounded really low like it was going to land somewhere close by.
Yesterday on our way to Salem to the V.A. medical center we saw a man on a red open parachute, floating around way up in the sky. Actually it was near Eagle Rock, going towards the road you turn up to go to Craigs Creek. It was really cool. Personally I could (for myself) never see any good reason to even get on an airplane, let alone to jump out of one. But I realize, different strokes for different folks. All I could do is say a little prayer for him, and wish a safe journey down. I grabbed my phone, wishing to take a photo of him, but just my luck : { my phone wasn't even turned on, and by the time it came on.. it was to late : { GEE, don't that figure? It was amazing to see though. Guess maybe he (who ever he was) might enjoy jumping in the summer also. Everything (except winter sports) are better in the summer : )
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
.......... In the good old summer time,
In the good old summer time,
Strolling thru' a shady lane
With your baby mine.
You hold her hand and she holds yours,
And that's a very good sign
That she's your tootsie wootsie
In the good, old summer time.
