ONE YEAR WITH HOMER, AND LOVING IT!

'Abby' and 'Nate' came up and stayed last night with Homer (us too I suppose, but he gets way more attention from them than we do). When they leave, Homer seems one of two things, either bored, or tired... I prefer to think he's bored without them.. but then after just a few minutes he's his sweet, precious self.. wanting to either sit on the love sofa with us, or lay on my lap on the love sofa, or even occasionally sit up beside me on the love sofa and be my 'BIG BOY'. Anyway, we are grateful for him, he is loved, and well taken care of.

BOY DO WE HAVE MUD NOW! It rained up here all night last night and all morning. We couldn't get the car out. Last night after the kids came up, we had already had our supper but they had not, so he got in the Trooper and went to the little country store near by. He had to lock it down in 4 wheel drive to get out of the driveway. And with it having rained all night, and all morning, we knew we couldn't get the car out for church. We hate missing, but seems like since we moved we've missed more than we did in several years before all together... "ah the joy's of country living" especially when you have a long, winding, dirt driveway! It lately has been either ICE OR MUD! But we are grateful to have a place to call home. Maybe Monday night (after it freezes over) I'll see if he will take the car up to the other end of the driveway so we can get it out for Tuesday.

Tuesday, I have to work. (we are supposed to be off on Tuesday, but a few of us have to go in for aprox 4 hours to do a little extra cleaning in the kitchen) I'm grateful for the extra time, especially since two of us won't get paid for last Friday and Monday we had off. I don't turn down any extra time than I am offered. And he is going down at the same time.. first he has to take the car back to the dealership. The On Star isn't working! I actually called them by cell phone the other day and they tried this and that... beep, beep and nothing!!! She finally said "Mam, you need to take your car back to the dealership, there is a problem with your On Star"... I thought DUH! that's why I called... Anyhow, then after that he has to pick me up around 12 and we have to go on to Salem. He has another doctor's appointment. Don't know why they couldn't have made both appointments for this past Friday since we had to be there then also.. Oh well, we'll try to do what we have to do! Pray for us to have another safe trip going and coming, please.
