DO YOU HAVE A "TROUBLE TREE?"

The Trouble Tree

A woman hired a carpenter to help her restore an old farmhouse, and he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit, and his ancient one ton truck refused to start. While she drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited her in to meet his family. As they walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward, he walked back to the car. They passed the tree, and her curiosity got the better of her. She asked him about what she had seen him do earlier. "Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure; those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So, I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning, I pick them up again. Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

my second day of vacation.. well.. rainy! so I think I'll mostly stay in and get some house work done.. I have a good many things that I sort of  "postponed" knowing I was going to be off this summer.. First summer in three years.. (well, I guess that is what I should say ? I worked the last two summers) And I would have gladly worked this summer.. except for the closing of Head Start (*_*) Oh well.. one door is closed.. lets see what might be in store! GOOD THING IS, AND I AM GRATEFUL, I STILL HAVE MY REGULAR JOB! "THANKS GOD!"  And, if nothing really comes up... I still think I can keep myself busy! So.. sad thing is.. "TIME FLIES!"
====================================
Nathan is still resting this morning.. but, he'll be up soon... We enjoy having our grand children around.. They are all BLESSINGS!
====================================

Norman is working again today.. don't know how long it will last, but we will see..He was tired yesterday when he got home.. but then again, the heat alone will drain you!... Sad thing is none of the three of us slept last night! Just one of those nights! Uggg.. makes for a day of dragging!

He had another call to come in this morning.. but don't know how that will work out either!

But,  God has HIS plans, for each of us and thats for sure!

Praying especially again for Jenna and for Jake and their health issues.. and for Frances for being so strong!.. Praying for little Evan and all the children that are sick, and their families.. Praying also for our country! (sometimes seems that very little makes sense anymore) And praying for our family, friends, neighbors, and the many prayer lists that each of us have.. Praying for God to bless each of us spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and with His Love, Grace, Mercies, Guidance, and Inner Peace.. And as always, giving HIM our love, thanks, honor, praise, and glory in all things, in Jesus Holy name, amen!
