 SNOW BITES AND THE SEVEN DWARFETTES...
Once upon a time there lived a woman whose friends dubbed her "Snow Bites" (aka Shelley, the author of this tale) She had grown up in the frozen North, and whenever she stepped outdoors she often exclaimed, "Snow Bites" Thus her nickname.

 Snow decided one day that she'd had enough of the cold white stuff, so she moved south- to a warmer climate, and as the storyteller says, "she steeped herself in the ways of the genteel Southern  Belles. Or so she'd tried".  "Mirror, mirror on the wall, " she often implored, "who's the most delightful, clever, and engaging belle of all?" "Y'all are, ma'am" the mirror responded. 

She continued living in this harmonious state until that fateful day when her hormones shifted, and she entered into a time of life known as menopause. "Snow Bites became one mad sister," said Shelley. "Then to make matters worse, out of nowhere appeared the Seven Dwarfettes: Crabby, Grouchy, Cranky, Ornery, Nasty, Mouthy, and Meany." Suddenly everyone - living and dead- irritated Snow Bites. She told them off in no uncertain words. And "if no one was around, " added Shelley, "Snow Bites would tell herself off!"  "Finally one day" said Shelly, "Snow entered the Land of Reality as she was having lunch with friends in a local restaurant. A little boy in the booth behind her stood up, turned suddenly, and poked heer in the back with his fork. She felt like retaliating but he was just a little boy. After all she told herself, he was probably bored with his food and the adult conversation around him. Snow caught herself before she did something she'd be ashamed of. It was "a small, but meaningful victory." In that moment, Snow Bites began seeing for the first time in a long time what is important and true and worthwhile in life. She decided to take charge of the Seven Dwarfettes: Crabby, Grouchy, Cranky, Ornery, Nasty, Mouthy, and Meany. She kicked them out of her life that very day and told them to never come back. And that was final! From that moment on, Snow/Shelley chose to live with peace and joy despite the circumstances. She knew without a doubt that God would see her through menopause and beyond for all eternity. TALKING TO GOD:



What a blessing it is, O God, to know that even when Grumpy, Meany, Cranky, Ornery, and Grouchy slip through the door of my life, you still love me. Your presence brings them out of hiding, and they quickly disappear. Then I can focus on what is right and true and pure and lovely.

PRAYERS FOR THE FAMILY THAT HAVE LOST LOVED ONES TODAY.. AND A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR THE FAMILY THAT LOST THEIR HOME AND BELONGINGS TODAY DUE TO FIRE... PLEASE LORD, TOUCH EACH OF THEM IN SPECIAL WAYS AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE LOVED... THANK YOU.

PLEASE LORD, HELP US TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WEATHER AND SUCH, AND ACCEPT YOUR CHOICE FOR OUR LIVES, AND TRY TO JUST BE THANKFUL AND MAKE THE BEST OF IT! I AM SO GUILTY OF THIS ONE.. SORRY!
